Board-certified by the American College of Surgeons (ACS), Dr. Berntsen specializes in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a fellow of The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (FASMBS). She is also a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).     I had a few complications with my surgery, but I am very happy with the surgeon. She made me feel very comfortable. I had to spend extra days in the hospital and she was there every day to let me know my progress.
