Dr. Bilton is a very nice man. Really seems to care about his patients and seems as excited about my progress as I am!
His office staff is very nice and supportive. They are very good at giving help when needed and want to help more than I seem to let them.

12/14/04 : met Dr. Bilton and his nurse, Beverly. I feel very fortunate to have such a caring group of professionals in my area! Dr. Bilton took his time and explained everything this surjury involves, in great detail, and answered all questions. Beverly is just an angel, and I feel confidant she can help cross the barrier with the insurance issues, when the time to file comes around. The entire office staff is also very nice, and helpful. I could not be more thrilled to have them so close to where I live.

I thought Dr. Bilton was great, he was very honest, direct, and to the point. (no sugar coating of anything). His office staff was very friendly. His nurse Beverly kept me informed. Beverly showed us a wls video that outlined the risks, then she went over them with us. Beverly is truely an angel sent from God. She is hardworking and very patient. She is very understanding and she will do all she can for you. When it was Dr. Bilton turn to come in, the first he said was "This is major surgery and the risks are as follows....." I have nothing bad to say and the my feelings toward him are great. He told us that if it doesn't feel right then he will not do it. I fave full faith in Dr. Bilton and Nurse Beverly. I recommend them.

I first went to Dr. Bilton's office on September 14, 2004 and I already have a date for surgery. I think he is great! Beverly (thats his nurse) She is wonderful. Dr. Bilton is for staight to the point and blunt. He will make sure that you are physicaly and mentaly well enough to have this surgery.

The first visit with Dr. Bilton is just an "information only" session. You watch a video/he presents the surgery and you decide if you want to continue. Dr. Bilton took questions. If you decide to continue, Beverly (nurse) will take your weight and height. Beverly goes through the paperwork to make sure all is in order. The first impression of Dr. Bilton is that he is very serious about his job as a surgeon. That made me feel very confident in his ability to perform the surgery as he is fairly new (at this point he has done in the 30s) to doing gastric bypass. I find it is very difficult to talk with the nurse. You must leave a message and hope that she will call back within a couple of days. Insurance papers are sent off the first week (if everything is in order). The second visit will be to see Dr. Bilton and schedule the surgery. Dr. Bilton really encourages everyone to attend a support group. Before you can have surger you must attend a meeting.
