    Dr. Thaemert attended the University of Minnesota School of Medicine and completed his residency in General Surgery at Gunderson Medical Foundation-Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He received his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
