Brock Bordelon Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

This review is far overdue! I had RNY surgery performed by Dr. Brock Bordelon in August 2008. I absolutely adore Dr. B! He is a highly skilled surgeon, has excellent bedside manner and very easy to talk to. I teased him and said that he saved my life twice. Twelve years prior to my WLS, I saw him after 5 yrs of illness and many incorrect diagnoses including it all being in my head. That was my favorite. Anyway, he diagnosed my problem, performed surgery and I made what I consider a miraculous recovery. So, when the time came for me to have WLS, there was no doubt in my mind who my doctor would be. The only problem I had was with his office staff, primarily the Nurses Aid who also did the preauth. She was rude and slower than Christmas. I don't know if she is even still there. However, Dr. B made up for any problems I had. His program is comprehensive. He is a laid back, nice guy who will spend as much time with you as you need. However, if any problems develop, he is on top of them. Unfortunately, I have since moved from Colorado to the East Coast so I no longer see him for follow-up. If you want a top notch surgeon, excellent diagnostician and all around nice guy...Dr. B is your man!

Dr Bordelon is a wonderful Surgeon- He performed a total of three surgeries on me- my original surgery the RnY Bypass in 2006- Everything was fine and I lost weight very quickly, but was ill most of the time in the first 10months then it was discovered I had a gallbladder problem so Dr. Bordelon removed my gallbladder- he again did a great job. In 2008 I had an ulcer burst one morning and ended up having emergency surgery within hours and Dr. Bordelon was the surgeon on call.. can u believe that?? And once again, he did a great job, I had no problems healing and his bedside manner is great, he even apologized cuz he said he was in such a hurry to save my life my scare is crooked..i laughed and told him it was great!!

.. hopefully i will never have to have surgery again, but if i do I would prefer Dr. Bordelon everytime. :)

Great and understand of fears. Foes not take this surgery lightley. Answers all questions and poses the surgery in normal people terms. Very friendly office staff. Nutrition and therapist appointments done at another location, but they are also very nice and help you understand the enormous amount of information required to make an educational desicison to do the surgery.

Very knowledgable and caring. He was concerned that I even had considered lap band, due to my having had GERD. The office staff was always very friendly and helpful. Although quite busy, since the clinic is rather large. I have nothing more to add at this moment, I will add more later

Dr. Bordelon is a wonderful surgeon. He was very warm and personal. He takes the time to explain to you what you need to know and answers any questions you have. Just a very nice man.

Dr Bordelon is great...very knowledgeable, very experienced. Though he is kind and a good listener, he's not the \"warm fuzzy\" type, which is ok, he more than makes up for it in competency. Highly recommend him.

Very patient and kind, seems genuinely interested in my well-being. Provided plenty of time for questions and concerns. Office staff is great, supportive, efficent, and fun.

I picked this surgeon from a picture of all of the surgeons that did the surgery at this hospital. I chose him because he looked the most \"down to earth\", jovial type. He has turned out to be just that. He is easy to talk to and seems to really care about me as a person. What's funny is when I came back and let my boss know, she had used this same surgeon for another procedure and really liked him too!rnI would recommend him to anyone who is having this surgery in Colorado Springs, Co.

My first impression of Dr. Bordelon was that he was very empathetic and wonderfully nice. He made both myself and my husband feel completely comfortable and answered all of our questions completely. He believes very strongly in having your support person with you at the initial appointment and at aftercare appointments of possible as they will be going throught this with you.

Hmmm Well since I work in the E.R, I see Dr Bordelon just about every other weekend. And now that I chose him as my Surgeon I see him in a whole new light. He is really a caring,sweet and straight to the point Doctor. And I respect him a lot for the way that he is. I did some research on the other Doctors who are with Colorado Springs Surgical Associates and I chose him. All of them are great Surgeons and they all know there stuff.
