Had my first meeting with her and she seems very nice and easy to talk to.

Dr Li was terrific. She made me feel very comfortable right off the bat. She was also very informative, she made sure I knew exactly what was going on every step of the way.

From the first appointment with Dr. Li to discuss the possibility of bariatric surgery, until now, 3 weeks post-op from gastric bypass, she has consistently provided the ideal combination of warm support, guidance, knowledge, and encouragement, and I would highly recommend her to anyone considering bariatric surgery. She has been a pleasure to work with and did a beautiful job!!!! She is also surrounded by an amazing team, which has made the process a smooth and positive one for me. Several of the staff on the Sinai Bariatric team have actually had bariatric surgery by Dr.Li, which is a testimonial to her, and has been extremely helpful to me throughout the various stages of the process, both before and after surgery. I first heard about Dr. Li when she preformed non-weight loss surgery on my mom. My mom was so impressed with her that she then had the VSG by her. A year after my mom's surgery I had enough and called for my own appointment with Dr. Li. Thorough doesn't even begin to describe the work up she puts together. Her office is incredibly organized and helpful. So many times I like a physician only to find their office staff incompetent or rude. Not the case here!!

Dr. Li really listens and advocates for her patient. She understood from the begging that my ultimate goal for WLS was to improve my fertility and achieve a healthy pregnancy. I was pushing for a sleeve, but based on my history and the studies out there she suggested bypass at the time. Knowing I was hesitant about the RNY she personally called me a week later citing different studies she looked up regarding my case and fertility.

Upon going through rigorous and thorough testing it was discovered that I had another condition that prohibited me from having the VSG. I was devastated and scared by this new diagnosis. She took the time to comfort me and to call another specialist right then and there to discuss my case while I was in her office. A plan was devised and it was decided that I would be a perfect candidate for the RNY.

I had my surgery on 1/16/12 and I was amazed out how great I felt immediately after the surgery. I was up walking the halls that night. I was home the next evening and off all pain meds 2 days after that. I had my gallbladder out by a different surgeon in 2010 and I felt like I had been hit by a train for weeks afterwards. My husband was floored when a week after surgery I told him I went to the gym.

Even after surgery Dr. Li continues to focus on my end goal of achieving a healthy pregnancy. She has promised to support me in any way she can and will work closely with my OB when the time arises to ensure that me and my baby receive adequate nutrition.

I really can not say enough positive things about Dr. Li and her staff.

Well, I am a recent sleeve gastrectomy patient from January 19th, 2012. From the first day I started the program with Dr Li and Sinai, I knew I was where I was meant to be. I am currently 6 weeks post surgery and I am down 50 pounds and feeling better than I have in 10 years. I chose the Vertical Sleeve procedure after Dr. Li thoroughly explained all of my options, risks and of course benefits. So far I couldn't be happier with my decision to trust Dr. Li and her staff.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Li and her staff. There preparatory program is incredible, and I got tons of support from her dietician, attending the group meetings she has, etc. Dr. Li is friendly, non-judgmental, and determined to make you be successful. Phone calls are always returned timely, and lots of access to needed information. Dr. Li helped me think about what was really the right procedure for me (we ultimately selected the sleeve) and spends plenty of time with you - I never felt rushed. The surgery itself went very smoothly - I was out of the hospital after only one night's stay, and had a very good recovery.Yeah Dr Li!

From the time that I walked into Dr. Li's office I felt welcome and very comfortable there starting with the staff. The staff always has a smile and is readily available to help you. When I initially met Dr. Li. I was so impressed with her. Not only did she ask me questions but she also took all time time that I needed in order to answer any questions that I had. I had full and complete answers from her about the procedure (gastric bypass) by the time that I left her office.Very professional yet very personable. I would recommend her to anyone I know if they needed this type of surgery. I was even given a welcome hug before leaving her office...that meant a lot to me. It showed me that maybe she cared about me as a person and since leaving the office that first day, she has proved it beyone my expectations!
