Dr. Edwards is a very kind, caring, compassionate doctor. He is an EXCELLENT surgeon and I would HIGHLY recommend him for any bariatric surgery. Dr. Edwards placed my LapBand and also removed it. No complications. Absolutely no problems healing. Had a Gastric Sleeve surgery in August 2014 and have healed wonderfully and have had no complications, other than brief nausea, for a brief period of time, directly after the surgery. Dr. Edwards very qualified and has been in the bariatric surgery field for at least the past ten years and I cannot give him and his associates enough thanks and grateful for saving my life!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Edwards and his staff. Dr. Edwards, his P.A. Lynn and his nurse Kim are incredibly knowledgeable, kind, supportive and professional. I was not an easy patient. I have a lot of health problems and was concerned about having such difficult surgery (RNY) and the after effects. Dr. Edwards answered all my questions (sometimes more than once), was honest and up front about everything and ALWAYS confident and smiling. A week after surgery I was experiencing intense pain and Dr. Edwards responded immediately. A CT indicated it was most likely a Hematoma, but because of the pain Dr. Edwards did not let up - he would not wait, he would not let me wait. It turned out to be a massive infection (NOT related to the surgery) and my immune system did not respond. He saved my life by being extra cautious and attentive. His bedside manner is EXCELLENT and you can contact his office with any question or problem, no matter how small. They ALWAYS respond in a timely manner. I have had NO problems with my surgery. THANK YOU Dr. Edwards and Staff!

Dr. Edwards was a wonderful surgeon! He was able to help explain the surgeries to me very thoroughly and helped me decide to go for the RNY instead of the lapband. He visited me twice a day while I was in the hospital and him, along with his staff, have been very supportive and helpful post-surgery.

I would HIGHLY recommend him and the bariatric program at St. John's. I couldnt have gotten this far without them!

I THINK I KIND OF TOLD YOU WHAT MY OPINION OF DR.EDWARDS. AND NO IT HASN'T CHANGED OVER TIME. EVERYONE IN THE OFFICE FROM THE RECIEVING DESK TO THE PAYMENT DESK WERE(AND STILL ARE) THE BEST STAFF. THEY WERE ALL VERY HELPFUL.rnrnFOR ANY ONE IN THE FUTURE NEEDING A DR. MAKE DR.EDWARDS THE TOP NAME ON YOUR LIST.rnrnDR. EDWARDS IS (AND RIGHTFULLY SO)VERY ACTIVE IN PROMOTING AFTERCARE(EXERCISE, EATING HABITS AND SUPPORT GROUPS).rnrnTHE ONLY PROGRAM PROVIDED TO US (THE PATIENTS)WOULD BE THE EATING AND EXERCISE.rnEACH ONE OF US ARE TOLD WHEN THE SUPPORT GROUPS ARE. BUT EITHER TYPE OF BARIATRIC SURGERY IT'S A TOOL SO SOME OF YOUR PLAN MUST BE DEVISED BY EACH INDIVIDUAL rnrnALSO IF YOU DO CHOOSE DR.EDWARDS TO BE YOUR SURGEON BE AWARE HE TELLS IT LIKE IT IS. MANY PEOPLE (MYSELF INCLUDING)LIKE THAT ABOUT HIM.

This doctor was my surgeon for both surgeries - the original lap band and the revision of the port due to a leak. He and his staff have been great for the most part. Both surgeries had me waiting 8+ hrs from arrival at the hospital to getting to the OR table, so plan on not being in a hurry. Last time around, at 8am, I was third in line for the procedure, and hit the OR table around 5pm, due to emergency procedures that needed to jump in line. rnrnOverall, happy enough with the services and staff.

Dr. Edwards is fantastic. I was so impressed with his patience during the seminar. He must has answered the same question just from different people who apparently weren't paying attention at least a half dozen times. rnrnThe entire staff at St. John's are wonderful. Mary Trampler is an angel. She is so helpful and responsive to your questions. The nurses and the PA as all so caring and attentive to detail. I just wish someone had told me about the Gas-X prior to surgery! rnrnI can't recommend these guys enough. I'm glad that I will continue my post-op care with this group of people. They truly seem to care about me as a person and not just a patient.

I enjoyed talking to my surgeon, what time i did, I havent seen him all that much, since even the beginning...I think he is very compasionate, and caring, but not to good on the seeing...He has a PA, that see,s post op pt..even while in hosp, and when your out..She is very good.rn I do think his surgical competence is a lot better than his bedside manner, but I guess thats better anyway....I am over all most pleased with the out come of surgery...and would highly recomend Dr. Edwards for the job.

I like my doctor, he has a great bedside manner and seems genuinely sincere. He likes to pat you on the shoulder or a reassuring pat on the knee, even with my mom after my surgery. I would have like for him to talk to me a little more after my surgery when he talked to me about going home the day after surgery. He probably will at my first post-op visit though. He said and did everything he was supposed to do as far as I am concerned. The only complaints I have would be towards the hospital not the doctor.

I liked Dr. Edwards from our first meeting. He was very positive and encouraging and willing to answer questions.rnrnThe office staff were also really positive and friendly. I didn't feel like a freak there.rnrnThe approval process is long and a little tedious but clear and they help you through the steps. I had some issues with one negative person but overall the program and planned aftercare impressed me.
