I had visited 2 different surgical centers, here in Las Vegas, before finding Surgical Weight Control Center and I couldn't be happier! The staff here is amazing! The patient advocates are fantastic! The surgical doctors are phenomenal! I had Dr. Soong and I feel this was a blessing from above. He is a great doctor, and man, who truly cares about his patients. The other 2 places looked at me as dollar signs, where here, they treat you like you deserve to be treated. I don't recommend anyone to go anywhere else. Dr. Soong is great with after surgery support as well. I had questions and he gave answers. He NEVER left me hanging. If I had to do the surgery all over again, the ONLY thing I would do different, is STARTING HERE FIRST!!

Dr Soong and Dr Atkinson are amazing. Not only did my sleeve surgery go off without a hitch but Dr. Soong is VERY responsive to emails and is attentive during follow up appointments. The girls in the office, particularly Perla, are also great. I would highly recommend this facility and Dr Soong for your surgery needs. I've been super happy and successful with them. :)

I am very happy with my doctor and all the staff. I have had two follow-up appointments and Dr. Soong has been very friendly and explains things when I ask questions. I would recommend Dr. Soong for anyone considering the surgery. I have no complaints or any problems with the surgery.

I like Dr. Soong. He is a very busy physician but when he is with you in the exam room he focuses on what you have to say. He is very encouraging of the progress I made as I lost weight and seemed happy for me. The office staff is nice as well. One time they lost my sign in tag and I waited for a long time, but that is not usual. My biggest problem was with the office that I went to for my 6 month pre-op medically supervised diet. The medical assistant there did not schedule me for a sleep study for weeks and I had a lot of problems getting in for an echocardiogram and stress test. In addition, the wait to see the doctor at this location was very long-in excess of an hour sometimes before I was even taken back to the exam room. I did share my concerns with Dr. Soong's PA when I went in for my pre-op consultation.

I have not yet truly picked anyone yet. But I went to Dr. Soong's seminar recently and was impressed.

Dr. Soong has been wonderful. I am having a band to sleeve revision and he told me any questions I may have to e-mail him. Anytime I need to ask him something, he responded ASAP! Its great to have that kind of communication. Their bariatric group are top 5% in the country. My surgery date is June 29th 2010.

Dr. Soong is taking excellent care of me. I haven't had anything yet that I haven't liked about him or anyone else on their staff. I have had surgery twice. The first time was Sept of 2009 but, I had enlarged liver so they backed out and closed up. 2 months later I lost 32 pounds and shrank the liver and they went it and placed my band. Dr. Soong and Dr. Brian Gracie (his assistant and one of the docs that do the fills) have been so amazing and supportive. Right before second surgery they both came to be in pre-op because they heard I was nervous. I always leave them feeling wonderful. I emailed Dr. Soong 2 days after surgery because I got sick and I worried about slipping the band. He emailed right back. Just a great office. I know it says to leave anything including negative comments but, I just don't have any.

I did not really have much of an opportunity to get to know my surgeon one on one. The first time I spoke to him was right before the surgery. He seems like a pretty good guy and so far I am pretty satisfied with the surgery. He called my home to check on me two days after the surgery which I thought was really nice.

My surgeon was very good at filling me in with the proper information, giving me all my options, and following up. I saw him before surgery three times, and also just as I was about to go in. He then spoke to my husband right when I got out and me later that night and first thing in the morning after. He is accessible and does not rush me through. The surgery went well and after care with him is very good. I would recommend him any day. I really am not trying to paint him as perfect, it is just that I have not had any negative things happen with him to report.

I can't say enough about my surgeon. When my husband and I initially went to one of his seminars I was impressed with how articulate and well spoken and he really has a great sense of humor which I felt was very important. I go back to him on Feb. 4th and will praise him again!rn
