Dr. Siegel is part of the bariatric surgical team at St. John Weight Loss Center and specializes in open Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. Dr. Siegel earned his medical degree from University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, Des Moines, Iowa, and completed both his residency and internship at Oakland General Hospital in Madison Heights. He is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. He is chief of staff at St. John Oakland Hospital, and was previously program director of General Surgery Resident and chief of the division of General Surgery. In addition, he is an assistant clinical professor in the department of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Surgeons (FACOS).
