Dr. Deron Ludwig, Bariatric Surgeon Deron Ludwig, MD, FACS is the Bariatric Program Surgical Director at North Valley Surgical Associates. As a board-certified surgeon, he is accomplished performing laparoscopic bariatric surgery and general surgery. Dr. Ludwig is passionate about weight loss surgery and dedicates most of his practice to perform weight loss surgeries. He completed his residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center and earned his medical degree at Loma Linda University. Dr. Ludwig went on to spend three years as a staff surgeon at Keesler Medical Center, Biloxi, Mississippi with the U.S. Air Force. Dr. Ludwig is an active member of several prestigious professional organizations including the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT), Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), American Society for Bariatric Surgery (ASBS), Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
