Dr. Douglas Ewing, Bariatric Surgeon

Douglas Ewing, MD, FACS is a board-certified bariatric surgeon at Advanced Laparoscopic Associates in Paramus, New Jersey. A highly-regarded and skilled surgeon, Dr. Ewing stays at the forefront of surgical innovation to provide his patients with high-quality care. He chose to specialize in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery because of the enhanced recovery time and improved outcomes for the patient.

Dr. Ewing earned his medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and completed his residency at St. Luke’s–Roosevelt Hospital. He also received a BA at Harvard University and has earned several academic awards. He has authored and published numerous articles related to the field of bariatrics and has presented to his colleagues both nationally and internationally. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), and the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).
