My name is Tracey Mynhier, I recently had sleeve gastrectomy at Clovis hospital with Dr. Felix. Let me first start by saying Dr. Felix is a stellar doctor, no situation too great for this surgeon. I have had previous surgery’s which I knew I had lots of scar tissue inside. Dr. Felix is amazing he preformed my surgery laparoscopicly even with the fact that my stomach was stuck to my liver with scar tissue he did not have to open me up. He is fabulous doctor with extensive background on laparoscopic surgeries. And to top all this off he is the cheapest doctor around with the cost at $995.00 all other surgeons were asking $3100.00 and odd enough he is way more qualified than any other doctor I have researched. What this boils down to is he and his staff really care, he is not out for your money, he just likes to enrich and change people’s lives, that is his pay. The hospital he uses is a 5 star hospital in my book. I received a card with all the nurses’ signatures on it after I came home…..how wonderfully thoughtful. Dr. Felix is a 5 star Doctor *****I highly recomend Dr. Felix!

I had a great experience. I was scared but my bypass was easier than I expected. Dr Felix and Clovis were perfect for me. I am 6 months out and can already feel the difference. My diabetes is gone and I can play with my grandson again. Next year I will have my extra skin removed by dr Felix and Clovis

Had a great experience in his office my surgery went well especially since he was doing over a surgery done by another surgeon several years before. All I can do is say thank you to Him and his office staff for coming through when others refused to help. Anyone looking for an excellent bariatric surgeon should give there office a call. I am now losing weight and my reflux is gone. I wish I had seen doctor Felix and his partner first. He is strict but that's ok I had a re do of a gastric bypass

Went to my pre-op appt and was shocked to find that this office is charging a "program fee" of $995 which you have to pay in order for this office to do your surgery.. Did further research & discovered not all surgeons charging this "program fee". Am now having Dr. Higa and his team perform my surgery at Fresno Surgical Center without any "program fee". Dr.Higa is another accomplished bariatric surgeon & fresno surgical center has been awarded the best in the valley & 5th in the state for bariatric surgery. The bariatric dietician on board has also had bariatric surgery herself years ago & knows what we are going thru. I feel I made the right choice in my bariatric surgeon selection.

I am currently going through my post-op following my RNY surgery 9/8/2010. Hasn't been "easy" but definitely not as hard as I was fearing. During my time sitting in the waiting room of Dr. Felix's office for my Post-Op appointment, it struck me. The ONE part of this entire process I've never worried about was the actually surgery! Dr. Felix and his team have been so incredibly wonderful to me. His no-nonesense, straight forward attitude is actually exactly what I want from a surgeon. Great at what he knows how to do, and instilled confidence in me the minute he started talking at his seminar. I'm excited at the journey ahead and very at peace knowing that I have Dr. Felix and his team by my side if ever I need. I would strongly recommend him.

Dr Felix is a character. He is really good at putting you at ease with his wacko sense of humor, but he is extremely professional. His office is always jumping, they are extremely busy but always answer questions quickly. I felt like I was in really good hands the whole time. He is the director of the bariatric program at the hospital and has tons of experience. When I was waiting for to meet with him on two differen occassions I met people who had come from different states to have him in particular do their surgeries. I took this as a good sign, including one of those who was paying cash - she could have gone anywhere, but she chose him, not because he was the cheapest (he is not) but because he's the best. And his partner Dr. Swartz is equally awesome. Anytime i've had to see him in the office, its been great. I love their office. Its been well worth the 3 hour drive from my house. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!!

Dr Felix is awesome!! He was very nice. After some of the things I've read about him I was a little nervous but he was so funny and very nice! the office staff was wonderful as well. Everyone there was so full of information it was great!!! I havent had my surgery yet, so I dont know how his aftercare is. He educates you on what to expect, and things you need to do after so that was helpful. So far he seems like a really great doctor.

At age 39 after the birth of my daughter, I was diagnosed with stage 3-breast cancer. This meant following my doctors advice, which was to undergo treatment in order to survive. After my chemo and radiation I took hormone called Tamoxifen (Nolvadex®); with it came the side affects of weight gain. I gained over 85 pounds in less than two months. For twelve years I tried to loose the weight and I failed, I became an obese person, which brought on the onset of diabetes. I knew that I had to do something to regain my quality of life. So I started researching and found that the “Roux-en-Y” Gastric Bypass Surgery could possibly cure diabetes. And on September 18,2009 my life-changing journey began.rnrnIt has been 15 months since I had my surgery; and though it as been a little tough at times, I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s having two of the best doctors in this field that really made it a positive experience for me. Dr. Felix and Dr. Swartz “You are the Best” you have such great knowledge and compassion what you do. You and your staff are so focused on getting your patients to live a healthier life, this show great devotion and on your part. Which is truly remarkable. I can’t thank the two of you enough for saving my life. “So yes losing 150 lbs has really paid off” and now that the joy of life has been given back to me for the 3rd time I intend to live it in the best way I can by taking care of myself: eating right, staying fit, and living a positive life. rnAnd by the way –The day of my surgery my blood sugar was 250, four days later my reading was read 93. I ‘m no longer a diabetic or take any medications for diabetes. Today my blood sugars points read 73 in the mornings. rnLove you guysrnThank YournTeri Hunterrn

I had my surgery 7-22-09. I have already lost 20 lbs. This is something I should have done years ago.

Dr. Felix has a cool sense of humor, and very easy to talk to. I have felt from the beggining that I was in good hands with him doing my surgery.

His office staff are great. So professional, and very caring. I definately recommend Dr. Felix to anyone looking into weight loss surgery.
