First impression of Dr. Glen Moore is that he is quiet person who "tells it like it is". He told me facts and described what the surgery involved and the risks of the surgery. He treated me like an adult with a brain and encouraged me to become infomed about the surgery. A prospective patient attends a seminar about the surgical weight loss program and one of the support groups prior to their surgery.

I think the reason I was so calm about my surgery is the fact Dr. Moore was so concerned about my safety. When there was an abnormality on my EKG he postponed my original surgery date. I wanted to sign a waiver or whatever necessary for him to do ahead with the surgery. He would not reschedule the surgery until I had additional testing done to make sure it was safe for me to have the surgery. When I left his office the thought went through my mind "If I did not trust Dr. Moore to look out for my safety before the surgery, how could I trust him to do the surgery".

The aftercare program includes a monthly support group meeting and once you reach your "goal" - a visit to his office once a year for the rest of your life. Both Dr. Moore and Dr. Spencer are at the support group each month.

Dr. Moore is an excellent surgeon. He answers any question you might have including once about any surgeries he has preformed that have had complications. One of the reasons I had ruled out the surgery in the past was the bad publicity around the surgery. After meeting with him and talking to him I was willing to have the surgery.

I know of no words that I can spell orpronounce, What I think of my Dr. He is one in a million. Over the past 10 years, I have had a few problems, and have seen several different Drs. DR, Moore is truly a man who sincerely cares about his patients. I was not pressured in any way, He is a down to earth type of guy.
I had to go back in the hospital about two weeks after my surgery. For a minor problem as it turned out. When Dr Moore finished his all day surgeries. He was by my side for almost three hours. After being in surgery all day, he would not leave me until he knew that I was going to be ok. I was completely amazed at that.
Being a retired Navyman, I judge a person of leadership this way. I WOULD FOLLOW DR MOORE IN COMBAT ANY DAY, AND WOULD NOT LOOK BACK. He's that type of person. The weight loss co ordinater and dietican, is second to none. Melodye and Lisa are just super people, they are there for you. My surgery has gone just plain out super because of the skills and caring attitudes of Dr. Moore, and Mel, and Lisa. In my opinion, you can not show me anyone better. I would recommend Dr Moore to anyone, and can assure them that he will take care you.
2/15/04 I continue to be amazed at the care and concern displayed by Dr. Moore, Melodye and Lisa. They continually make my life and recovery so smooth. It has been my honor to know them. The medical profession is definitely a winner having them as part of there team. As I said before, show me one above them. Equal, yes, but not above. I, personnally have not had a negative experience with Dr. Moore. I know that may sound unusal, But it is the truth. I would definitly trust him again if the occasion ever occured for me to have surgery again. I hope it does'nt. I would know I would be in good hands, its simple. HE CARES FOR HIS PATIENTS.I CANNOT SAY IT IT ANY PLAINER.
Before surgery, he made sure I knew the risks,also after surgery it was made clear as to the risk. His surgical competence was outstanding. His bedside manner was, he sat down and made himself at home, discussing at my level, the surgery and what to expect. His office visits has been the same.

My first impression of Dr. Moore was that he seemed to be a very caring, compassionate man. His office staff has been very helpful, and told me from the first visit to call them whenever I had a question. He is very thorough when discussing the risks of rny and the lifestyle changes caused by it. His office offers a very informative seminar and also has support group meetings available. I was very impressed by the low rate of complications that patients of Dr. Moore and Dr. Spencer have. I found his surgical competence and bedside manner to be outstanding.

I CAN ABSOLUTELY SAY THAT I LOVE MY DOCTOR! DR.MOORE IS WONDERFUL. THE VERY FIRST TIME THAT I MET HIM I FELT VERY COMFORTABLE. HE ANSWERED ALL OF MY QUESTIONS AND HE SPENT A LOT OF TIME EXPLAINING THINGS TO ME. I FELT SO CONFIDENT THAT I WAS MAKING THE RIGHT DECISION AFTER I MET WITH DOCTOR MOORE. YOU CAN TELL THAT HE CARES ABOUT HIS PATIENTS. I HAVE BEEN BACK TO SEE HIM FOR 2 FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS NOW AND HE HAS TOLD ME THAT I AM DOING GREAT AND WHEN HE SAYS IT, IT IS SO GENUINE. IT IS LIKE HE IS SO PROUD OF YOU. I AM SO GLAD THAT I MADE THE DECISION TO HAVE THE SURGERY AND THAT I HAD DOCTOR MOORE. HE HAS CHANGED MY LIFE FOR THE BEST AND FOR THAT I WILL ALWAYS ADMIRE HIM AND THANK HIM. HIS AFTER AFTER CARE PROGRAM IS GREAT. THEY CONTINUE TO FOLLOW UP WITH YOU ON A REGULAR BASIS. THE OFFICE STAFF IS WONDERFUL. EVERYONE IN THE OFFICE IS SO NICE. I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT I DO NOT HAVE A NEGATIVE COMMENT ABOUT DR. MOORE. HE IS WONDERFUL!

I would have to say Dr. Moore is on of the nicest surgeons I have ever met, he seem very laid back almost as if your friend instead of a surgeon. His office staff are the same way.He is very straight forward with his feelings on this surgery and takes it very seriously, No cheating . If i had to rate him one to ten ten being great he would get a 10 from me.

Dr. Moore seems to be a really awesome guy. I spoke with him, when I was entirely unsure about the surgery and he made me feel comfortable. He does not try to sell you this surgery or ever make it seem like it is the only alternative. I would recommend that anyone around this area go see him.
