James Pilkington Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

I think Dr. Pilkington is a fantastic doctor. He's very blunt, which some people may have a problem with, but I appreciate the frankness. He's the type of doctor that if your screwing up, he's going to tell you, and he lets you know that right from the get go. His office staff is top notch, alway's willing to help, very compasionate, just a great team. He emphasizes the importance of following up with your dietician, vitamins, etc. and makes sure that you fully understand what your getting yourself into prior to surgery. He's involved with the support groups that are held at the hospital, and encourages his patients to attend the groups. He addressed all the benefits of surgery, as well as all of the risks, He's just a great surgeon all around.

Dr. Pilkington is a very nice and caring doctor. You will like him the moment you meet him. His office staff is very nice and very caring and very knowledgeable.
He lets you know exactly what you have to do before and after the surgery and what he expects from you.

Dr. Pilkington trys to attends the support group meetings every month and explains to the new people the procedure he does and is very open to answering any of your questions and is very reasuring.

Over all Dr. Pilkington is very easy going and you feel at once you can put your life in his hands and feel very comfortable with him.

I have only ment with Dr pilkington a few times. But i really like him. He seem to be very careing. And down to earth. He talks to you like your a person. not just another number in his day. I like that.. He ask me meny questions. And was very open to the questions I had for him..
His office staff was just as wonderfull to me. so far i have always left the office feeling very good. I would rate Dr pilkington and his staff a 10 plus...

Dr. Pilkington was balanced professionalism and friendliness very well. I rate him very highly. The office staff is very helpful and accomodating for our needs. He did address the risks of the surgery in a straightforward manner. The only downside is that there is no structured aftercare program. However, after hearing many of the stories other people have gone through I would recommend him to anyone considering the surgery. I'm 8 months post op as I write this.

I can not even begin to explain how impressed I was. When you are preparing to place your life in someone elses hand, you have got to have trust. Dr P has the best beside mannor of a doctor I have seen in a long time. His receptionist was great with all my questions and requests. His nurse was very understanding with all my questions also. I feel safe in his hands.

Dr P impressed me with his sensitivity and willingness to take time to explain things in depth. Conceiving post-op is a big issue for me, and he was very thorough when explaining to me how long I should wait and how my pregnancy will be different as a post-op. I am looking forward to having Dr P as my surgeon and am very happy with my choice! Also, Jodi is very helpful and said I can call her anytime to check on my insurance status.

Dr. Pilkington came highly recommended. I have heard so many wonderful things about him. After meeting with him I know they are true. He seems to be a wonderful doctor. I have not had my surgery done yet due to some delays. I was sick and they had to reschedule do to the possiblity of phenomia. He explained everything in great detail and given me the opportunity to ask questions.

I was pleased with Dr. P."s knowlege, and his personality.

Felt very relaxed with him, he's very thorough.

Haven't had surgery yet, but I would hope both will be great.

I have only seen Dr. Pilkington for a few minutes. I have another appointment on April 3. Can probably tell more after that.
My surgery date is April 21.

dr.pilkington is a very pleasant,funny,caring guy.his staff is wonderful ,very caring and understanding.he doesnt take this surgery lightly,and has guidelines to follow like quitting smoking .
