My first impression was a lack of bedside manner.
This didn't bother me. The better the surgeon the
worst the bedside manner.
I got him to loosen up a bit.
Great staff.
Nothing I like the surgeon very much.
After care is extremely important to this group.
Multiple appointments, nutritionist, exercise
program, call when ever you need help or have
a question.
I was told of all the risks in surgery. I was told
the good and the bad.
rating a doctor is difficult. But, I'd give him
a 9 out of 10.
Surgical competence is best.

Dr. Oram-Smith has been the greatest!!! His office staff is very educated as well. He has a great bedside manner and has been wonderful for follow up when needed. They made certain that you were well educated - or should have been if you were listening and taking it all in. They are a great group. The doctors that share his practice were also very nice at any time we had to deal with them.

He seemed pretty clinical, straight forward,business-like. My post approval/ pre-surgery meeting he was a bit more caring and said " You going to have a few miserable days", I took to mean the post effect of major surgery. Marylin one the assistance, she is great and very helpful.

I liked my surgeon. He is a pretty quiet man. His office staff was very nice to me and answered any questions I had. He has an excellent record and has never lost a patient. Also does alot of follow up care and also requires you to meet with a nutritionist for 1 yr after surgery. I think he's a great surgeon. Only thing I would change is how long they make you keep the gastric tube after surgery.
