LOVE LOVE LOVE DR. BAKER AND HIS STAFF. EVERYONE IS SO HELPFUL AND UNDERSTANDING OF YOUR NEEDS, QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS, THEY ARE ALL EXCITED FOR YOU TO TAKE THIS JOURNEY AND WILL BE THERE FOR YOU THE ENTIRE STEP OF THE WAY.
I would recommend Dr. John W. Baker to everyone. I was really pleased with everything he has done for me. His staff are the most friendly and helpful people I know. He is strict and you had better listen and do what he says. He's great!!!
My first impression of Dr. Baker was that he was very knowledgable of everything concerning wls. The speeches he gave at his seminars were very informative and he answered everyone's questions with extensive detail. He does require everyone to attend the seminar, a support group meeting and the dietary conference call. He wants his patients to be very informed before they make a decision that will affect the rest of their lives. He feels that if you do not follow the rules before surgery, then you will not follow the rules after surgery. I respect him for that, as I have found that following the rules is the only thing that leads to success!rnrnI love his office staff. They are very busy and sometimes difficult to get a hold of online, so always call.rnrnThe only thing I am not crazy about is that he doesn't offer a lot of information. He feels that the patients should be well informed from all of the information he gives beforehand. He does, however, answer all questions asked. rnrnHe and his staff emphasize aftercare very strongly. He expects his patients to keep up with their post-op visits and lab work. He cares about his patients and wants them to stay healthy.rnrnI would recommend Dr. Baker to everyone who is seeking wls.
rnDr Baker is very concerned about success of his patients, very focused on adequate preparation for surgery. Office staff is very helpful. Future patients should choose Dr Baker if they want the best and are willing to follow all instructions for a successful experience. He is very careful to emphasize all of the things that can go wrong and the role of the patient in insuring success. Surgical competence is the best. Bedside manner is very good. I have no negatives to express. I would recommend Dr Baker to anyone who desires success and is willing to comply.
My surgery is schedule for April 30,2008!! I'm counting down!rnI can\"t say enough about Dr. Baker and his staff!!!! They made me feel so relaxed and welcome from the very beginning.rnDr. Baker expects you to take your health seriously and will not take on anyone unless they are willing to do the program, both before and after.rnI am considered a risk due to blood clots in the past so Dr. Baker spoke with my\" Blood doctor\" as I call him and the decision was made to put a filter in the day before my surgery. He explained everything to my husband and myself, took the time to make sure we were informed.rnHis staff starting with his office manager Becky Turk are the sweetest most helpful staff that you could ask for. They return your calls, answer your questions, and make the process as easy as possible for you. When you go in for your first appointment you will meet all of them and get your questions answered.rnI chose Dr. Baker because he was highly recommended by one of daughter's friends who by the way is a nurse.rn
My first impression of Dr. Baker was that he out of any doctors I have used before truly cares about people with obesity. He took time with me and my feelings that I have had through my life being overweight. Dr. Baker made sure that you had all the facts about gastric bypass surgery. He not only does the surgery, but is an advocate for the overweight. The office staff is very helpfull and supportive as well. There are support groups that are verry helpfull when you need a little pep. Over all rate Dr. Baker and his team a 10. I also have read another profile on this website and I do agree he does have beautifull eyes
I loved Dr. Baker! He is a little intense at first, but it is because he truly cares about each and every one of his patients. He wants you to succeed, and if he thinks that you aren't ready, then he will say so! I appreciate and deeply respect that in a physician, especially in this day and age. He's very blunt, but yet makes me feel very comfortable with him. He maintains eye contact, listens to every word I say, answers every question until I am satisfied with the response, and does not make me feel rushed in any way. He's very strict (\"his way or no way\") and I need that in a doctor. I'm glad I chose him, and recommend him to everyone considering this surgery.
Dr Baker was wonderful!! I loved him. I liked that he made sure that I knew everything that was going to happen before he would even consider the surgery. His staff is wonderful. Christy and all the ladies make you feel like family. They are eager to help in anyway. I would highly recommend Dr. Baker. Just one thing, if you are not serious Dr. Baker does not have time for that. He wants to help change your life, for the better.
