My first impression of Dr. Klein was that he looked very young....and was super good looking...My impression has not changed, I now realize what an amazing and compassionate man he is. His office staff are also amazing. I guess if I had to say the thing I liked least about him, it is that he is so busy...but then again if he wasn't I would be worried. Future patients should know that you will wait a long time everytime you visit, however, he will give you the best care you could ask for....and will always return your calls....or get on the phone with you immediately...He definately lets you know how important follow up is....He was quite honest with me about risks involved, but we did not discuss the issues of vitamin/minerals later in life...this was dissappointing, but then again...without surgery how much..later life could we expect...Overall I rate him as one amazing individual....no complaints here..I think competence is better...but bedside manner is always good. rnMy only concern was the cleanliness of the hospital, the nursing staff, and one dietician in particular....The hospital staff was lacking what the surgeon made up for...Guess no surgery can be perfect...

Dr Klein is a pleasant but somewhat distracted seeming doctor . He didnt pull any punches and in fact at my first consult re me wanting my VBG revised to a full gastric bypass actually scared me off . 3 Years later I steeled enough courage to ask again ..having gained another 25 pounds of weight back .He once again advised my of the possible issues and dangers but then quickly gave me the yes I wanted . I like Dr Klein ..he is young but seems very capable and affable .

It's my opinion that he is friendly and very understanding. I felt the staff’s answers were a bit too short, but they were friendly and it is understandable that they need to make answers to questions quick as it is an extremely busy office. Dr. Klein is upfront about the risks of surgery. He went over everything with good details and ensured I understood the procedures he had to offer. He was willing and understanding of my questions. I have had the surgery and had completely trusted him 100% from the begining.

My first impression of him was that he was very blunt but got straight to the truth of the matter and to the risks of the steps I was about to take.

My surgeon is Dr. Laz Klein and I met with him today, April 10, 2008 for the first time and he was truly amazing!rnHe discussed the two different types of surgery he does ( RNY and LAPband) and the pro and cons of each. He also discussed the risks of each surgery.rnI told him that I that the RNY was the best option for me.rnHe made me feel at ease and he gave me all the time that I needed to ask all the questions I had for him. He answered each one honestly and in a way that I could understand.rnAll in all, I would rate him a 10!!

I first met Dr. Klein the beginning of 2006. I was instantly impressed with him and was sure I was making the right choice by deciding to have my RNY with him. I just knew he was the right surgeon for mernrnI have met with him twice so far and every experience has been a positive one. He wants to help but he doesnt have the resources to reduce the excessive wait times and as we all know its frustrating for everyone all around. rnrnDr.Klein is a cancer doctor/bariatric surgeon and you know what he rocks! Every time I called or emailed he took my calls and responded to all my e-mails. Not alot of doctors do that...but Dr. Klein did and does and thats why he was absolutely the right surgeon for me. rnrnrn
