About Manuel E. Castro, MD, PhD, FACS:
Dr. Manuel E. Castro is board certified with more than 19 years of surgical experience. He has performed more than 2800 weight loss surgeries. He is proficient in lararoscopc surgery (99% of his cases are performed laparoscopically) and utilizes it to perform the Gastric Sleeve, Gastric Bypass, Band 2 Sleeve conversions and the Adjustable Gastric Band (Lap Band). He also performs revisional weight loss surgery.
Dr. Castro has the training, experience and outcomes that satisfy the stringent requirements by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and has been designated a Center of Excellence Surgeon.
