Dr. del Pino is a fellowship trained, Center of Excellence, and Blue Cross Center of Expertise certified bariatric surgeon. He is also a fellow member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), as well as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). Since 2003, Dr. del Pino has been committed to providing a wide range of weight-loss surgeries using advanced laparoscopic techniques. As he is one of a handful of US surgeons to perform different weight loss surgery procedures (LapBand, Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy, Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass, and revision procedures), patients are afforded the luxury to choose the surgery that best suits them. His program South Texas Lap Band welcomes patients from out of the area and provides concierge service for those who travel.
