I had the surgery 8 years ago June 10th. I am still absolutely happy with the job Dr. Owens did. I look & feel great!!

Dr own is straight to the point he knows what he is doing and professional he is so kind and really experienced i had my surgery and no complications thank God even the scares in my tummy nearly disspearing i would recommend dr owen for anyone

Horrible experience! After 3 years of dealing with Dr Owens and his office staff found that going to Fill Centers USA was better! Luckily now Kaiser is doing Lap Bands (and the doctors are now handling lap bands done outside Kaiser) I will have coverage for a much more reasonable price...Spent $$$$$$$ and got nowhere. Met some other patients from his office that had just as bad a time as I did and they are now also going to other places to have their fills done.

I hope all of you that do use Dr Owens do have success and no problems...just know that some of us who were banded in 11/2008 (right before he had his back surgery - don't think he should have been doing surgery at that time - they didn't even write down what size or type band I had installed) are having problems similar to mine....And I have a big problem with the Chapman office charging an additional charge to go in there...come on!....

I had a lap band from Dr. Owens after I was referred by my doctors office. He seemed very knowledgable and well spoken. His future patients can feel comfortable that he really know what he's doing. He is very straightforward and clear in discussing the risks of surgery. There is nothing i didnt like about him

Dr. Owens' office staff was excellent and he was nice, caring and understanding from the beginning. He emphasizes aftercare alot and has a structured aftercare program. He's an excellent doctor.

After researching all bariatric surgeons and facilities in my area, I selected Dr. Owens and I could not be happier! From the initial evaluation process through the surgery and on-going maintenance, he has been the kindest most professional medical provider I've ever had. I had the lap band surgery almost three years ago and I've lost more than 100 pounds and have kept it off. Dr. Owens provided the tools for me to succeed. Even with the lapband, the process of losing weight was hard work.
