    Dr. Morris Washington attended undergraduate school at the Sophie Davis Center for Biomedical Education of the City University of New York and went on to earn his MD degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He completed his residency in General Surgery and a Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York.  Dr. Washington is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Washington is known in the Low Country for his personal, compassionate, and excellent care of those suffering from the disease of obesity.
