My husband had gastric bypass with Dr. Marymor 8 years ago and I made the decision last year to have surgery. My surgery date was 7-14-2015. Dr. Marymor is one of the most authentic, caring, professional human being. He cared about my health and the best options for me for bypass. I texted him with a very minor issue and he called me right back. His staff is top notch along with the Nutritionist and nursing staff. I wouldn't have gone any where else to have my surgery. He is an amazing doctor!!!!

I am 5 days post-op from having laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery, performed by
Dr. Marymor. I cannot say enough about Dr. Marymor! He is simply the one to go to.
Not only does he give you his personal cell phone number, but, I sent him a text,
on a Friday night and not only did he answer my question, but did so in five minutes!
He is 'old school' and I would most definitely recommend him to anyone considering surgery.

Dr.Marymore continues to still be the best doctor I have ever been a patient of. To be honest, I wish more doctor's would take lessons from him, thanks for everything Dr.Marymore, don't ever change for anyone.

Dr. Marymore gave me my life back. I was so miserable before. I was in a tremendous amount of pain everyday with my back, I was extremely anti-social, and couldn't do activities because of my weight. He saved my life.

He is the best doctor I have ever come across for this life change. He gave me his cell number, he listened and was very informative. His staff are excellent as well. Image this a Barix and Dr. Marymore actually call patients back or takes calls when you call.

I still see Dr. Marymor every year after having my surgery 8 years ago! I've maintained a weight loss of 85 pounds over those years. Dr. Marymor is still the same thorough, courteous, sincere doctor that he always was. He is so caring and compassionate. He will do anything to help his patients!!! There is no one like him out there!!!!

I liked Dr. Marymor from the start. He was very thorough and didn't leave room for me to ask questions. He covered everything I wanted to know before I could ask!! His office staff was very nice too. They all took a lot of time and I never felt rushed. My consult lasted over 2 hours! He does emphasize aftercare and he has a structured program with a nutritionist and support groups. He also gives his patients his cell phone number in case they really need him! He laid out all the risks of the surgery, but he told me not to expect them...just be aware of them. I think he is excellent and the people I met who have had Dr. Marymor do their surgery have said that he was great as far as competence and bedside manner. Both are important to me. My surgery date is February 8th and I'm so glad. The waiting was the hardest part so far. I'm excited yet apprehensive, which I guess is quite normal!

Dr. Marymor saved my life. I had the sleeve gastrectomy done 4 weeks ago. I'm down 50 pounds and feel like a new person. He is very professional and he and his staff are very accessible to you. He even takes calls and txts on his cell. Highly recommend!!!!

Just to update! I'm 9-10 months post and down 180 pounds and almost at goal!! Thx doc!

Dr. Marymor is unlike any other doctor you'd expect to meet. He's 100% invested in the best interest of his patients. I happened to be one of the unlucky people who developed a leak and a fistula a week after my surgery which was back on April 4th of 2012. He gives you his cell number that you're given permission to call at ANYTIME! If you are having any issues or concerns about anything he wants to know about it right away.
He's taken great care of me through all of this nightmare I've been experiencing. He's been in contact with me and on top of all of my care every step of the way.
He truly does care about the well being of his patients even after they've left the hospital and he makes himself available to you at anytime. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Marymor spoke to a small group to explain the different types of surgery offered at the Barix Center. All the details were illustrated to make it easy to understand. After that, Dr. Marymor saw each of us individually where he discussed which treatment would be best for me, according to what I was looking to achieve. He talked extensively about the details and the risks involved. I thoroughly understood everything and decided to go with the bypass, rather than the sleeve or the Lap Band.
Dr. Marymor's office staff was extremely responsive to any questions or concerns I had as I moved along the insurance system, waiting for approval. No question went unanswered and if the person I was speaking to didn't know something, they checked and had an answer in a minute or less.
Once the surgery was done, the Barix Center medical staff was unbelievable; so kind and considerate and so knowledgeable. As a patient, I had the best care I've ever had in a hospital over a 3-day stay.
After the surgery, and being home for 2 days, I got a call on the Friday night of the 4th of July weekend. It was Dr. Marymor, calling to check up. What surgeon personally calls after surgery? And on the Friday night of a holiday weekend? That's what makes Dr. Marymor stand head and shoulders above any other doctor I've ever dealt with. Oh, and one more thing: a week later I had some concern about a new pain I was having when first sitting down or standing up. I was afraid it might be a hernia. I called Dr. Marymor in the early evening, and he suggested I meet him at the center the very next morning. Yes, on a Saturday. Luckily, there was nothing to worry about.
Dr. Marymor's post-op care and concern for his patients is outstanding! I'd give him 6 stars if I could.
