Bariatric Surgery in Massachusetts with Dr. Pecquex I decided to become a doctor because I wanted to help people. In terms of bariatrics, there are not many surgeries that can affect as many systems in the body as there is with bariatric surgery. We can affect sleep apnea, high blood pressure, diabetes, joint problems, and cardiac issues. We can address a lot of those issues with one surgery and I think for me, that's a huge impact and I like to help people in the maximal way possible. -Dr. Nicole Pecquex Dr. Pecquex is held in high regard by her patients and colleagues. She is known for not only her surgical expertise but also for her ability to put her patients at ease and listen with a caring heart. She has performed more than 1,000 bariatric surgeries and offers surgical options including the Adjustable Gastric Band (Lap-Band), Gastric Bypass, Gastric Sleeve, and weight loss surgery revisions. Dr. Pecquex and the multidisciplinary team at Steward Center for Weight Control pride themselves in spending a lot of time working with their patients on a personal level before, during and after weight loss surgery. They understand that bariatric surgery is a lifetime commitment and are very dedicated to helping their patients every step of the way.
