Over the past twenty years, Dr. Anez had been perfecting his technique for open RYGBP until he developed the mini incision open RYGBP. This procedure has greater benefits with a much smaller incision of 3.5" to 4" long (less pain and hernias), procedure taking only 30 to 40 minutes, hospital stay of 1 to 3 days, and if necessary the procedure can be reversed.

At the OBESITY SURGERY CENTER, Dr. Anez has performed over 4,000 Bariatric Procedures with excellent results. Most of them mini-open RYGBP. His center excels in the aftercare of bariatric patient which provides counseling by bariatric dietitians, dedicated physician assistants and nurses, as well as monthly support groups and web based services. We have a panel of well qualified physicians interested in the care of the morbidly obese to refer our patients to when necessary such as cardiologists, pulmonologists, endocrinologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, physical therapists, etc.
