Dr. Anez and his office staff have been great! The office was very quick in submitting all of my documents to my insurance company. My approval came 3 days after submittal.

Dr. Anez was very understanding and honest. At my consultation I was unsure whether to have the band or bypass and he went over what type of procedure and why he thought it was best for me and the weight loss goals I had.

The day of surgery, I was extremly nervous in tears and he was so comforting that everything would be ok and it was. He came to check on me several times in recovery and after I was moved to a floor. After being discharged he immediately returned all my calls afterhours about any urgent questions I had. I've had no complications or issues with my surgery and feel as good as one can expect after having a major surgery(I'm 10 days post-op).

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I think the best part is - considering how much you pay for your co-pays for all your related appointments and for the surgery itself in some cases, after your surgery the office waives all co-pays for the next 3 months which I think is incredibly considerate! I have had such a great experience with Dr. Anez and The Obesity Surgery Center and would definately recommend them to anyone considering weight loss surgery!

When I first thought of having the surgery it was almost 10 years ago. It fell through, and I had to put it on the back burner. I have since been through most of the process again, and am working toward a surgery date. I like Dr. Anez, he is a very compassionate man, and knows his stuff. I am almost there! I have one more appointment before I start my pre-op testing. I will attend a nutrition class on October 20. I am still so excited, I cannot believe that it is all coming together.

I first met Dr. Anez at a seminar at Fair Oaks in the summer of 2009. I was impressed but scared. About a month later, I called and made my first appt and it was great. His staff was nice and friendly and Dr. Anez was very helpful and exciting. I can't wait to move forward.

After 6 months of supervised dieting and weight lost, I'm finally approved. No problems from the insurance company!!!

December 14th....Here I come!

Dr. Anez is a laid back, smooth physician and I love he and his staff to pieces. He makes you feel comfortable, explains all the details of surgery very well and has complete faith in his staff which also puts your mind as ease. His bedside manner was extremely positive, he stresses aftercare and it's importance. My experience has been nothing but good and I would rate him 10 out of 10. I have no problem recommending him for anyone considering WLS.

My surgery is scheduled for September 7, 2010. I have to admit I am a little nervous. I start all my consults, tests and labs this week and next. I can't believe I have finally been approved and the ball is rolling. Dr. Anez and his staff have been extremely nice. Leo had my paperwork all together on Monday to send to my insurance company and the next day he called with the good news that I was approved. Marylou explained all the consults, tests and labs that I needed to have done. Vonzie at FairOak Nova actually schedule everything and sent me an email with all the details. I feel like I have made the right decision with Dr. Anez and his staff.

I had my surgery 2 years ago March. All I can say is Dr Anez is a life saver. He is one of the best Dr's I know. He was extremely patient and very helpful is his staff. I was very concerned with the whole process and wondered if I was making a mistake that would change my life forever. Welll the surgery changed my life but IT WAS DEFINATELY NOT A MISTAKE.... THANK YOU DR ANEZ.....

I actually haven't met Dr. Anez yet since he's been out of the office each time I've had an appointment. So far I've worked closely with Tiffany, who is his fabulous physician's assistant, and Leo the insurance coordinator. Everyone has been friendly and supportive.

My first impression was...AWESOME! From the minute I walked through the door, I felt like I was in the right place. Since this was my initial consult, I only met Nicole, Ann, and Dr. Anez. They were so awesome, so down to earth, and just easy to talk to. They answered all of my questions. Dr.Anez asked me questions, allowed me to ask questions, and took time to explain the surgery...risks and all!

When I first met Dr. Anez a couple of years ago I remembered he was very soft spoken and smiley. He was all business and he talked to me about the procedure and walked me step by step through the diagram of the surgery he was going to perform. He used colored pencils to show the differences in the organs and wrote down all the steps. He seemed a bit \"robotic\" in his presentation and made me think to myself, wow he has been doing this for a really long time. He was very scripted and didn't really venture off his path. While I appreciated his professionalism, he definitely lacked in the \"get to know you\" aspect. On the other hand, he isn't a therapist and I didn't expect him to \"help\" me with my emotional journey. He is a surgeon and a very well qualified one at that. His credentials and experience speak for themselves. I actually like his soft demeanor. Nonetheless, his part was done after surgery anyway. Post-op I started to see his P.A. Tiffany. She is fantastic! I can see why Dr. Anez hired her--she is the one with the more outgoing personality. It's a good balance. Everyone from the beginning was great! Ashley the insurance coordinator was on top of everything and was really organized. I would recommend Dr. Anez and his staff to anyone looking for a competent surgeon.
