I love Dr. Mora. He is attentive and thorough and he always is reassuring when the frustration sets in. He motivates and encourages you through peers with support groups and news letters. It is great to know others in the community that has went through WLS and is doing great. His office staff is superb and always there when you need them. They take you through the process step by step and have so much information to share. I give Dr. Mora and his staff a big A+.

Dr. Mora is a quiet reserved kinda guy...but very knowledgeable. He kind of gives you the skinny of a subject and then ask for questions. Tara at the office has been great in getting out appointments and facilitating the monthly group sessions. Dr. Mora is always telling us that the surgery is just a TOOL to help you along the journey and that it is up to us to use the tool and add it to our repetoire of things that will help us achieve our individual goals. Dr. Mora will also perform my gallbladder removal on next week. I will have a better picture of him as a surgeon. I feel comfortable with him managing my surgical needs. I think he understands how important life and health are to me..I have children to raise....is my mantra and I owe them my presence so I ask lots and lots of questions and so far they've been answered.

I am going to tell you right now that while no md is perfect, Dr mora and his staff come pretty close! They were very thorough from the beginning and were eager to assist me and my family md office on what was expected in order for me to get approved. he has a local support group that meets monthly in Prattville, AL and he attends every one of them and offers any advice and anwers to ?'s you may have. He did my twin sis's RNY and both our gall bladder removal surgeries prior to mu RNY so I was very familiar with him and the hospital i'd be using. While I did have to wait awhile sometimes at the office visits to see him, when he finally came he treated me as if he had all the time in the world to adress any of my concerns and ?'s. He is very competent and I and my sis both recommend him to anyone who lets us know they are considering wls. He can be reached at 334.361.6126. call their office and just ask them what you need to do to get started.

At the time I met \"Dr.\" Mora I was duped like everyone else. Let me say that after several years of no weight loss with him telling me it was normal, I have found out was a liar he is. My surgery was a revision. He opened (full incision) me up and did NOTHING. There is no loop, there is no bypass. Thanks for all of your help!

I was attempting to have gastric bypass through Dr.Sherer of Cahaba Valley Surgeons in Brimingham, Alabama. I just finished my six months of weight watchers (I have BCBS of Alabama) and had already mailed in all of my records. The insurance coordinator then called to let me know that I am missing a paper that should have been filled out in March by my Dr. She waited until now to tell me. Then she said I should just start over. She had me in tears. I then called Dr. Mora's office and the staff there was very kind. She said that she would find a way to help me get approved, and that the other lady just did not feel like putting forth an effort. Dr. Mora's office has been really nice so far.

I previously read the reviews about Dr. Mora and I liked what I read. He is a very fine doctor. He will answer all of your questions. He's mild mannered and has a serious demeanor about him. His staff was excellent and friendly.

I work at the hospital where Dr. Mora does his surgery. I gained much trust in him through watching the outcome of other cases. I have nothing but respect for Dr. Mora. He is very quiet at first, but has a genuine concern for his patients. He has a very structured follow up program. You know before surgery what is expected of you. He also has formed a support group in our community which is of great help to us all.
