Dr. Peter F. Lalor, Bariatric Surgeon

Peter F. Lalor, MD, FACS, FASMBS is the Bariatric Surgeon and Medical Director for The Center for Weight Loss Surgery at Wood County Hospital (CWLS) in Northwest Ohio. Dr. Lalor is a board-certified general surgeon with fellowship training in advanced laparoscopic surgery and bariatrics. Dr. Lalor specializes in minimally invasive surgery procedures and is affiliated with Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Dr. Lalor graduated from Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland and completed his internship and residency at Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. He then completed his fellowship with specialized training in bariatrics and advanced laparoscopy at the Cleveland Clinic in Florida. Dr. Peter Lalor is a fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the American College of Surgeons.

During Dr. Lalor’s residency, he was exposed to bariatric surgery and was excited to specialize in weight loss surgery. He strives to offer a very personalized approach to his bariatric surgery patients that have struggled all of their life with medical problems. Dr. Lalor loves being part of his patients’ weight loss surgery journey to improve their health and create a much higher quality of life.

Dr. Lalor is experienced and highly-skilled performing the Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass, Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Band, Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy, Biliopancreatic Diversion with Duodenal Switch, and Revisional Bariatric Surgeries. He performs more than 250 bariatric surgeries annually and has done over 2,000 bariatric surgeries and thousands of general surgeries to date.
