Dr. Philip Gachassin has been actively involved in the surgical treatment of obesity for more than a decade.
He is currently the medical director of the Weight Loss Surgery Program at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. In addition to performing Laparoscopic Roux en Y Gastric Bypass, Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Band, and Laparoscopic Verticle Sleeve Gastrectomy Dr. Gachassin performs advanced laparoscopic general surgery. Dr. Gachassin also performs revisional weight loss surgery and peforms the StomaPhyx procedure. He is also a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and is a certified bariatric surgeron with the ASMBS.
