    Richard Gordon, M.D., FRCSC, received his Bachelors of Science from The University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada. His general surgery residency, including his chief resident year, was spent at the University of Ottawa in Canada. He has completed a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida. In addition to general surgical procedures he performed over 100 laparoscopic gastric bypasses and gastric bands. Board certified in General Surgery in Canada and the United States, Dr. Gordon is a Fellow of The Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada and a fellow of The American College of Surgeons.

    He is very nice; have your questions ready for him; he is willing to answer them. Surgical competence is by far more important than bedside manner, although, it is sure appreciated! Have not gotten to the surgery yet...more to come.
