My first impression of Dr. Randall was that he was a sweetheart!!! I don't think I ever encountered a nicer Doctor in my life.

I still believe that Dr. Randall is a sweetheart!!!! Very caring and patient and kind.

Very nice and on top of things.

Nothing.

Dr. Randall is wonderful and Diane his assistant is very good at setting up surgery dates and will let you know everything in advance.

The Dr. doesn't just operate and then say see ya later. He will see you probably every 3-4 weeks after surgery from the date of surgery until a year or so later. He wants to make sure that you the patient are doing what he/she should be and that all is ok with you. If you have any problems at all with your stomach or whatever this is the time to let him know so that you and the Dr. can work it out. What other doctor will dedicate this much time to each individual patient??? Not too many!!!

Yes. Dr. Randall holds meetings once a month on Wednesdays at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford (The Nursing School Room)
and everyone is welcome. He encourages everyone to attend to ask questions, give feedback if you have had the surgery already and not just positive feedback but the negative as well. Like for instance, my surgery was good but I was alergic to almost all of the medication after surgery and was as sick as a dog for about 3 weeks and at the meeting I let other know that. I would still (if anything ever went wrong) do it all over again. Thats how good I feel now!!!!

Dr. Randall and his staff pass out all kinds of reading material for everyone to look over. You get a booklet describing the surgery and you get a meeting list. He answers all your questions and will even call you at home if you have questions for him.

On a scale of 1 to 10 I give Dr. Randall a 11!!!

Both. Definately both!!!

Dr. Randall is an experienced professional who has been doing this type of surgery for a long time. I've come to learn that he wants his patients educated and knowledgeable about what they are getting into. Office visits can feel a bit rushed, but the monthly support meetings make up for it. He insists that his patients wait several months before "jumping" ahead with a procedure that they may later regret because they didn't know enough about it. He doesn't sugar coat the risks involved with the procedure and lets you know all the possible scenarios up front. This may not be what patients want to hear, but I appreciated his frankness and I found it helpful in making my decision.

I found Dr Randall to be understanding and very patient. he explained the procedure to me letting me know of all risks. I felt very comfortable with him and still do. I would recommend him. He has a support group but I have not attended as of yet.

Met with Dr. Randall. He was very easy to talk to and took time to tell me about hinself. Knew all the right questions to ask me. Was very willing to take the time to answer mine also. HIs staff really know her stuff about the ins and is also very knowledgeable about surgury., His patients that were waiting were all very open about themselves. look forward to seeing them at a monthly meeting.

First Impression: Made a sincere effort to understand obesity. Expected me to lose some weight prior to surgery.

His office staff is wonderful. Charlotte was especially considerate.

Dr. Randall scared me when he told me that he would not do surgery if I gained weight.

He has a wonderful reputation.

He emphasized aftercare right from the first appt.

He has a before and after support group.

He addresses risks. When my husband asked what the worst risks were, his response was "death." Then he said there is a less than 1% chance of this and was more reassuring.

Overall he seems very good, though I am basing this on two appts.

Surgical competence and bedside manner fine.

He is the best.

It didn't, it just got better.

Great.

Nothing.

I can't say enough good things.

Every 2 weeks for 2 months, then once a month, then whenever you need him.

Weight managment class, once a month, that he runs.
A number one, there is NO ONE else.

Both wonderful.

Dr. Randall is one of the nicest, caring, and sympathetic doctors I've ever met. He listens to your questions, answers them in great detail, and NEVER makes you feel rushed. He understands your fears, and will draw diagrams explaining the surgery to you. I am having surgery on August 9th, and he has been more than helpful in achieving this. His office staff is also very caring, and knows how to challenge the insurance companies.

Dr. Randall is a good person but more importantly he is a good surgeon who came highly recommended to me. He listens to his patients, answers questions and puts you at ease. I would recommend Dr. Randall to anyone who is seriously considering WLS.
