Sheldon Randall Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.
My first impression was great. I just started this journel getting all the aprovals and got all my i dotted.April 19, 2010
My first impression of Dr Randall was he is serious but does have a sense of humor. But make sure you are doing what you should.
I think he is a man that is very busy and he does not want his time wasted.
Office staff is very nice but some are very moody.
Aftercare is very important to him.
It is not a structured progam. they have meetings and you see him.
he did state the risks of the surgery and i also did a lot of research.
i would give him a 8 out of 10.
I think both are great.
Dr. Randall is great. Very caring and supportive.
I would recommend him to anyone.
I had my RNY on 11/30/2006 by Dr. Randall. It was performed at MGH in Bosotn.rnHad a few post op problems, nothing serious, just bothersome. Dr. Randall was terrific with his caring attitude and very good about explaining things to me as to not get me upset. When Dr. Randall left the MGH Weight Center, so did I. I followed him right over to his Medford office. Who, by the way, are fantastic also.rnDr. Randall has continued following my case and is always making sure nothing new is going on. I feel very safe in his care.rnThey are all a \"smart bunch of cookies!\" in that office.Feb. 12, 2009
I LOVE Dr. Randall. He is the best road crossing I have ever had to deal with. He has helped me change my life with this tool.Feb. 8, 2009
Dr Randall is a very dedicated man. He is very caring and compassionate. His office staff are very professional. His practice is very commited, the follow up care and support groups are key to my continue success. He takes time to address your questions, and really puts you at ease. I did a lot of research and I am glad I chose him. The surgery was uneventful and Dr. Randall was incredible with the aftercare. I cannot say enough about him, he gave me back my life.Nov. 17, 2008
Dr. Randall is Great. He is very personable, you never feel rushed.rnI have never had any problems with his staff, thye have always been very helpful and informative.rnAftercare is important, continue support group is important.rnI had a Hiatal Hernia repaired 20+ years ago, so I had a bit of a potential complication, I was told EVERYTHING.rnBOTH are great, if you are not comfortable with your surgeon, it would be hard to call him if you had any issues. Dr. Randall returns calls ASAP, and in my case I believe they were within minutes!rnEXCELLENT DR. would recommend to anyone.rnThe only downfall to having such a fabulous surgeon is the demand of his skill. The office wait can tend to be a bit long, BRING A BOOK!Aug. 25, 2008
Dr. Randall is the most caring compassionate man. He has a calming way about him that makes you feel you are in safe hands. Of course you know you are anyway based on his fabulous statistics. He is the man in this area! He has done the most and he has done the best. I'm not sure why you would go to anyone else!!rnThe only negative is the business of his practice. Sometimes the wait is long at the office.Aug. 15, 2008
Dr. Randall struck me as a very no nonsense kind of guy, which, I expect comes with the territory. I knew right away that he was serious about his commitment to his patient, and expected the same committment from me, and that is why he is successful. rnrnOver time, I felt more and more comfortable with him, I knew if I followed his instructions, I would be successful. I believed in him, and that was the most important thing for me, I need to believe in and trust him. He is the most amazing Dr./Man I have ever met. A day after my surgery, I began vomitting, non stop for about 48 hours. Dr. Randall's compassion was mind blowing. He dealt with me as if I was the only patient he had, EVER. He showed up in the middle of the night to check on me, very impressive. Thanks to many different tests and treatments he was able to help stop the vomitting. Now, when I go to my post op visits, he refers to me as the vomitous one, which we can both laugh about now.rnrnHis staff......2nd to none, Kate is amazing, again, she treats you like you are the only patient on her list of things to do that day. Can't say enough about the staff, they are the BEST!rnrnI believe Dr. Randall is the reason I have a new lease on life, and his humor, dedication, and devotion are why I tell everyone about him, and I am truly thankful for being led to him on this journey.rnMay 12, 2008
Dr. Randall was to have been my surgeon at MGH in 2005 when I went through the whole process (and I mean the WHOLE ) presurgical process but my surgery was canceled at last minute due to $1000 that insurance wouldnt cover and I couldnt pay. I lost 80 lbs on my own the following year but things are different now for a lot of personal reasons. I have put back almost half of what I lost. I said I would \"NEVER\" consider WLS again but here I am. I knew Dr. Randall was no longer practicing at MGH so I will see him at Hallmark/Lawrence Memorial on June 2nd for an \"initial\" consult but not really initial and I will ask him to decide medically anyway if he still feels this surgery is feasible. He was HIGHLY recommended to me and correctly so.rnMember of Randall's Rangers. rnhttp://www.randallsrangers.org/rnMay 6, 2008
