Stefanie Vaimakis, M.D. is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in advanced laparoscopic techniques and laparoscopic bariatric surgery. Dr. Vaimakis has achieved expertise in laparoscopic gastric bypass and "Lap- Band", "Realize Band", as well as laparoscopic colon surgery, laparoscopic anti-reflux procedures, laparoscopis splenectomy and adrenalectomy.
Dr. Vaimakis earned her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine, completed her residency in general surgery at Saint Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center in Manhattan, and her fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. She is fluent in Spanish and Greek.
Her private practices are in Englewood, Teaneck, and North Bergen, New Jersey.
