Dr. McKenna is affiliated with the Upper Chesapeake Bariatric Surgery, which has been designated a Center of Excellence by the American College of Surgeons. Dr. McKenna performs bariatric and general surgery. He is a board certified surgeon with over 15 years experience in laparoscopic general surgery. He has performed over 200 bariatric surgery cases. Dr. McKenna is also a certified Wound Care Specialist. His post graduate studies include a fellowship in Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery and Bariatrics with Dr. Terrence Fullum, a national authority in laparoscopic surgery.
Active in professional associations, he holds memberships in the National Medical Association, American Society of Bariatric Surgery, American Hernia Society and Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons.
