dr. Simon is the best Dr. i have ever had. He Told it how it was and then He gave me back my life. Tomorrow will be 10 years ago that I had Gastric bypass surgery and I truly believe that had i not done it and lost 250 pounds I would be dead today I have only gained back about 10 pounds of that 250 pounds i lost and i am so thankful for all that Dr. Simon did for me.

I was a patient of Dr. Alan Newhoff who was the main Dr. at the time in the clinic and Dr. Simon was his associate. My surgery was on August 21, 2001. I had an RNY with a fobi pouch. I have had relatively no complications. I was able to loose 200 pounds in one year. I currently maintain 170 of the 200 pounds lost. I highly recommend Dr. Simon as Dr. Newhoff highly recommended him as an excellent surgeon. Dr. Newhoff is a very good man and excellent surgeon. Dr. Newhoff has since retired.

I was able to find out that Dr. Simon is still a surgeon in good standing but no longer doing weight loss surgery. I called another surgeon's office and found this out.

Hello, I had surgery by Dr. Newhoff 10/2007 he retired and Dr. Simon his partner took over my care he did a Fistula repain in 2008, he was great, but now I have a problem He is no where to be found and no other doctor wants to see me, only if they can get my records! DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE HE WENT OR WHO I CAN GET HELP FROM?

I am following up on the review I gave Dr. Simon shortly after my surgery in May of this year. He is still tops in the field of bariatrics, and I have been happy with his care of me and the postop visits. HOWEVER, it saddens me to get his letter advising the clinic is not going to operate any more, and that he is leaving AZ. Neither of the 2 doctors I was referred to are AHCCCS providers, which means my follow up visits won't happen until I get full time work--whatever that is in a stressed economy. Those doctors are 25 miles across town for me. Not very convenient, either. Whatever the outcome, I just wish Dr. Simon the very best. It is such a loss to our community.

The wisdom, skill, and support both preop and now postoperatively is stellar from Dr. Simon. Mine was revision surgery, which was a general red flag to those I tried to pursue care from---that was NEVER a problem with Dr. Simon! My need for revision surgery was clearly determined by Dr. Simon in 2007; insurance coverage was the main obstacle to challenge the need for having surgery. I so appreciate the process this doctor takes to get the needed support for his patients as he did for me 2 weeks ago. I never hesitate in recommending Dr. Simon to my friends and family. He is simply the Guru of Bariatric Weightloss Interventions through surgery!!! Dr. Simon, you are simply the best!! Thank you so much!

I think that Dr.Schlesinger is a very good Dr.He reminds me of Dr. House,as far as looks go, but Dr.Schlesinger is a very caring Dr.The other Dr's that i have seen didn't act as if they even gave a damn.Dr.Schlesinger makes you feels as if he is more then your Dr. he is a friend as well.I am glad that i have found him again.I don't want ANY other Dr.

I think he is absolutely amazing!! Everyone in their office is. EVERYONE! I am so thrilled with all of them. They are all kind and friendly and they KNOW their stuff. My entire experience with them has been flawless, I wouldn't change anything at all. The best thing about them, besides their knowledge, is that you are a person to them, not a patient and they really make you feel like they are just as much a part of your journey as you are yourself. I really can not say enough good things about them! I don't think there is anyone better in Arizona for this surgery, and I did see others!

My first impression was this is the Guy for me. He is straight forward and answered all questions I had. Over the next 3 moths of visits I was just further convinced that i made a great decision to go with Doctor Simon, I had to get approval from Atena and it took exactly 3 months from the time I started until I had surgery. His staff is very informed with the insurance process and knows exactly what is expected and will work with you to meet all criteria. He was very informative on after, before and at the time of surgery care. What I should be eating and how the surgery would affect me? He was also equally informative on the risks of surgery and what my position on the risk level was; He worked with my cardiologist to get clearance for the surgery due to my high blood pressure. I would highly recommend Dr Simon and fell he is excellent in his surgical competence and his bed side manner.
