    A native of Ashland, Kentucky, Dr. Timothy Michael Wheeler did his undergraduate work at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. He graduated cum laude from the University of Louisville School Of Medicine, where he received clinical honors in surgery, medicine, neurology, family practice and psychiatry.
    Dr. Wheeler completed his surgical residency from the University of Tennessee-Memphis in 1999, and he is currently licensed to practice medicine in West Virginia and Kentucky. He maintains certifications in advanced laparoscopic surgery, generally, with specific certifications in gastric bypass and Lap-Band restrictive surgical procedures.
    Dr. Wheeler began his practice in general surgery in Georgia, then moved to Huntington, West Virginia, where he also served as assistant professor at Marshall University School of Medicine. He has now returned home to Ashland, nearer to family, friends, where he continues his general surgery practice, with an emphasis on laparoscopic surgery, including gastric bypass and gastric banding procedures.

    First impression he was a bit cocky but thats ok as long as he does a good job
