Dr. Emil Graf, Bariatric Surgeon Emil Graf, MD is an accomplished bariatric surgeon practicing at Banner Estrella Medical Center and Banner Gateway Medical Center in Phoenix and Gilbert, Arizona. He earned his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency Program. Dr. Graf is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery (ABS) and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). In his spare time, Dr. Graf enjoys traveling and running. Dr. Graf went on to serve four years in the United States Army where he worked as a general and trauma surgeon and completed two tours in Iraq. After serving our country, he decided to train in minimally invasive surgery and bariatric at St Luke’s Health System. Dr. Graf is the recipient of several medals awarded to him during his time in the United States Army. He has been awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medals, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Overseas Service Ribbon. We communicate with each other and my goal is to determine what is their diagnosis initially. Once we have established that, I will determine the best treatment plan.
