Mariah Beasley Bariatric Surgeon MD

Mariah Alexander, MD, joined the faculty at The University of Tennessee Medical Center as assistant professor in 2013, and her surgical focus includes minimally invasive techniques in general, endocrine, and bariatric surgery. She has broad experience in laparoscopic foregut, colorectal, hernia, and bariatric surgery as well as training using the DaVinci robot in foregut and endocrine surgery. She has co-authored two book chapters on laparoscopic hernia repair, participated in research on robotic simulation, and taught resident courses in The University of Tennessee Medical Center and Graduate School of Medicine Simulation Center.
