  • About Me

I joined Garden State Bariatrics & Wellness Center in 2014 to embark on an entirely new path of surgical patient care. With 10 years of surgical experience in Trauma, Critical Care, General and Laparoscopic surgeries in my repertoire, I have never had the chance to take the patient care beyond my interaction in the hospital. To me, there was a vital piece of the puzzle that was missing from my overarching patient care: the follow through post-operatively. Being part of the GSBWC Team allows me to treat the surgical experience as a whole; being with the patient at the initial consultation then to surgery, recovery, and post op follow ups. Based upon this totality of the patient experience, I’ve been able to gain access and insight to the patient as a person, as well as from the Bariatric surgical stand point. It has opened up an entirely new level of experience of patient interaction for me. Being able to follow the patients post-operatively back into their daily routines and working towards a more active lifestyle and helping to curb significant comorbidities such as diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension, reflux disease (GERD), chronic pain from obesity will be very exciting. I look forward to growing with Drs Bilof & Yurcisin, the GSBWC team, and our family of patients. Together with the team, I will strive to help our patients gain control over their lives losing weight safely and becoming active again not only through surgical intervention, but also through nutritional counseling, support groups, and ease of access to their Bariatric healthcare providers pre- & post-operative.
