Dr. Douglas L. Forman was elected to Phi Beta Kappa during his undergraduate studies, then he obtained his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Yale University, where he won numerous awards. His training culminated with a subspecialty fellowship in Breast and Aesthetic Surgery at Georgetown University.
Dr. Forman received his board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons. As a Clinical Instructor in Surgery at Georgetown University he is involved with the training of tomorrow’s plastic surgeons. He provides aesthetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery for the Washington D.C. metropolitan area and Dr. Forman has been recognized as a Top Physician in Plastic Surgery by Washingtonian, Bethesda and N. Virginia Magazines as well as Checkbook and US News and World Report.
Dr. Forman is the President of the Maryland Society of Plastic Surgeons and is the Chief of Plastic Surgery at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD. He is also the Medical Director for Elizabeth Arden’s Red Door Spas in the Washington DC region.
On a national level, he is a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He has been selected to prestigious American Society of Plastic Surgeons committees helping to advance the field of medicine in general, and plastic surgery in particular, in an ethical and patient safety oriented manner. Dr. Forman has published numerous plastic surgery articles and regularly lectures on new developments and procedures in plastic surgery.
