About Me

Trained in plastic surgery at the prestigious, internationally recognized Mayo Clinic, Dr. Sheldon M. Lincenberg is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. In practice for 23 years, Dr. Lincenberg founded Georgia PlasticSurgery, P.C., in 1989.

Dr. Lincenberg is a Fellow, American College of Surgeons. He is affiliated with Northside Hospital, Dekalb Medical and Atlanta Medical Center. He is a former president of the Georgia Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Benevolent humanitarian and community service projects are important to Dr. Lincenberg. He organizes surgical teams for an annual surgical mission to Ecuador to correct birth defects and other reconstructive surgery needs of children. He founded Kidejapa, a non-profit organization, dedicated to these missions.

In 1995, Dr. Lincenberg created and began sponsoring Pink Ribbons, an annual October event during Breast Cancer Month to benefit breast cancer organizations. Co-sponsored by Belk, this event is scheduled each October at the Ritz-Carlton Buckhead. In its 14th year, Pink Ribbons’ beneficiaries are the Georgia Breast Cancer Coalition Fund and Bosom Buddies of Georgia. Through the years, Pink Ribbons has raised more than half a million dollars for breast cancer.

His community service efforts have been recognized through the WXIA-TV 11 Alive Community Service Awards in 2003 and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery’s Community Service and Volunteerism award.

Dr. Lincenberg received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed his plastic surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and served general surgery residencies at Sinai Hospital in Detroit and University of Illinois hospitals. Dr. Lincenberg obtained added experience with the Division of Hand Surgery at the Mayo Clinic.

His professional affiliations include the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Southeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons, Georgia Society of Plastic Surgeons, Medical Association of Georgia, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and the Mayo Clinic Priestly Society.
