    Cate began her nursing career in 1995 and has been in the bariatric nursing specialty since 2001. She earned her nursing degree from Crouse Irving School of Nursing in Syracuse, NY.  She has served on the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Task Force to assist in the development of the national certification for Certified Bariatric Nurses (CBN). Cate works as a legal nurse expert, specifically in the bariatric surgery specialty and also specializes in new bariatric program start-up. In addition to her vast experience, Cate offers the unique perspective of being a weight loss surgery patient since 2002.
