Tuna Tacos with Wasabi Cream and Mango Salsa Recipe

My best Ahi Tuna Tacos recipe with Wasabi Cream and Mango Salsa brings just the right amount of creamy heat in the wasabi sauce combined with the savory southwestern seasonings making a favorite of all my seared tuna recipes.

What makes this the best of tuna tacos recipes? Topped with out-of-this-world Mango Salsa recipe gives this dish the fresh sweet finish.

Tuna Tacos with Wasabi Cream and Mango Salsa

Makes 4 Tuna Tacos

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Olive Oil
  • 10-12 ounces Ahi Tuna (1-inch thick)
  • 2 teaspoons Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 4 Flour or Corn Tortillas
  • Wasabi Cream (see recipe below)

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a pan until hot. Season the tuna on both sides and add to a hot pan. Sear for 1 minute per side or until fish is cooked on the outside, but rare inside. Set aside.
  2. Heat tortillas in a microwave with a damp paper towel to cover for 30 seconds. Fill tortillas with tuna, top with Wasabi Cream (recipe follows) and Avocado Salsa (recipe follows).

Wasabi Cream Recipe

The cool creamy mixture goes great with seasoned tuna tacos recipes.

Makes 1/3 cup

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup plain Greek nonfat yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1/8-1/4 teaspoon wasabi, depending on taste (already prepared wasabi makes is so easy!)

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine all ingredients.

Mango Salsa Recipe

This fruity salsa with sweet mango, mild avocado, and spicy jalapenos makes the ultimate complement to tuna tacos.

Makes 1 cup

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup chopped avocado
  • 1/2 cup chopped mango
  • 2 tablespoons chopped red onion
  • 1 teaspoon chopped jalapeno
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine all ingredients.

Terrific Tidbit: Wasabi is sold in most grocery stores as a paste or in a small container where sushi is.
