I had surgery on the 17th. I am down 14 lbs. Is that average? Too much?? Too little?? Will this continue? LMK how you are doing.

Hugs,
Dawn

I had my surgery on the 17th too. Can't help with weight loss because I have yet to get on the scale. I'm waiting until my post op visit which is next Wednesday. However, 14 lbs in a week sounds pretty good to me. If it were me I'd be happy with that.

Good luck,
Frogger

I am sooo jealous Dawn!  But then I'm alot older than you and this ole body takes its time doing anything LOL  My surgery was on the 16th and It took me 5 days to just get rid of the iv fluids...but since Friday I'm down 6 bls. Think it had something to do mowing the lawn yesterday.;-)  Someone at my support group told me that while on Stage 1,2 and 3, is when we can expect the fastest weight loss...so I'd say as long as you are getting in your vitamins, modified liquids and required fluids, you're doing great! How are you feeling?  If no problems, don't look a gift horse in the mouth LOL  So happy to hear your surgery has been so successful!

I had my surgery on the 11th, and I'm down 21 lbs since, if you don't count the 25 lbs of fluids they packed on me during surgery hehe.

I had my surgery on March 2.

From my pre-op appointment until my first post-op visit, I was down 19 pounds, officially.

I weighed myself on a set of scales at the mall the other day, and, taking into account shoes, clothing, etc., I am down another 11 pounds.

That makes a total of 30 pounds lost since surgery, overall.

I'm new, had surgery 3/9/09, so that's 16 days ago and I've only lost 5lbs.  I've lost a total of 14lbs if I count the week prior to surgery while I was on full liquids to prepare myself for the surgery.  I'm a little disappointed with my loss, but I'm following the proper guidelines - as hard as it is right now - so I'm sure it will come off.  I'm not exercising yet - I think my body just wants to hang on to this weight and I'm happy with 14lbs in almost 30 days.

I think its awesome how you're doing!  Great loss!

I had surgery on the 9th, and I'm down 10 lbs. that all happened the first week and nothing since, so I am frustrated too, I thought it would go faster. I asked the doc about it yesterday, he said don't worry, your body doesn't have a choice but to lose it now - so I guess I just need to be patient.

peace,

Lori
