March 7, 2011 Here I Come!!!

I only have 8 more days to go! I'm really looking forward to having the surgery and haven't had any serious doubts yet.

Doing ok with pre-op liquid diet so far. I look forward to not being hungry all the time.

How is everyone else doing with the preplanning so far?

I had my sleeve surgery on March 7, too. Today is April 10 and so far have lost 22 pounds. I did not have to do a pre-op liquid diet, just a low fat diet. I love the fact that I never feel hungry and I have to remind myself that I have to eat. I would do this again for sure.

I am looking to have the sleeve but not until AUG.  I am looking forward to it.  My doc said that  he has only done a few but has had great success with it.  I was wondering were you able to go back to work right away because I am only looking to take 4 days off.  I work in a office overnight and was thinking that I would not need that much time at home.

I was out of work for three weeks. I think that 4 days is pushing it. Your stomach will be very sore and you will probably still have a pain pump in.
