Surgery on 5/26

Hello!
I'm getting ready for my last day before surgery on Tuesday. I'm kinda nervous, but mostly happy and looking forward to a successful surgery. Most of all I'm going to miss seeing my little boy for the days I'll be in the hospital--not sure I want him to see me like that!

I feel as confident as I can going into this surgery, losing 62lbs in order to have the best possible outcome. I've followed doctors orders to get the BMI down, now hoping he will be able to follow through laproscopically!

You have done an AWESOME job losing pre-op weight Congrats on that.  I have my RNY on Monday.

I wish you an uneventful Surgery and a speedy recovery.

Hey all,
Just wanted to thank you for all the well-wishes on my surgery. Everything went extremely well, I'm home now and feeling great. I had the bypass at 8AM on 5/26 and by 4:15 that day, I was walking around the hallway of the hospital. I've felt stronger each day. Still trying to sip as much as I can.

It's tough getting through a whole bottle of water. I really like broth, the warmth feels good going down. Does anyone else really like hot things?

I also had my surgery on the 26th, and it seems like a long journey until everything is back to normal!!  I am still have more pain than I expected, tomorrow I take out the ONQ pump (can't wait to get rid of this thing around my neck!) 

I'm very impressed that you lost 62 lbs before surgery!!!  You ROCK!!!  I only lost 21, and that was a struggle. 

Hope you are doing well now and are ready to run around soon.
