Ferritin levels

Is anyone having a tough time with keeping their Ferritin levels up? I have been told that it should be at least 70, but mine stays around 13. I have been feeling tired. Let me know about your experience with this. My gastric bypass surgery was in 2005. I am taking an iron supplement. The nurse told me that most gastric bypass patients' numbers run about 30.

 I have had iron infusion steadily twice a year since about 2007.  My hemoglobin was very low, I had chronic anemia, but now it is all about the Ferritin. My hemotologist says I will probably always have to have infusion. It helps a lot. 

I have trouble with my iron as well.  I was sent to a specialist and have had my levels closely monitored for the past year.  I take prescription iron and am doing better.  My level was as low as a 6 at one point but it is back in the teens again.  Good Luck.
