It's been a long time since I've been on the board. My 6th year anniversary is coming up and I wanted to check in...

I would like to hear from the Vets out there....How's it going?

Highest Weight = 206 lbs.
Surgery Weight = 185.6 lbs.
Current Weight = 111.2 lbs.
Goal Weight = 130 lbs. (5'1")

Hello! I'm doing well so far other than gaining weight back. My lab results are excellent though. I have battled with depression due to the weight gain, but I am determined NOT to go back. Since you're almost 6yrs out, how are you doing? Are you keeping the weight off...labs and all ok?

All is well with me. My surgery was 9/17/2008. I have kept off all 200 pounds which is unbelievable when I think about it. I finally think of myself as average size. The first few years I did still see the fat me. Now I see myself as normal. The mental part has been the toughest but it has gotten a lot easier for me. Still thankful everyday for my second chance at life. I am determined NOT to screw it up.

My surgery date was 9/2/2008 and it's been a journey  Very rewarding. Today, I'm still practicing what my doctor taught - I've gained weight a couple of times but been pretty steady for the last couple of years.  Currently, under 16 pounds under goal.  Very very thankful! 

My life has changed drastically -  do you still attend support meetings? I'm in Florida and they are few and far between.
