Quick Lapband Serving Size Question

I had my lapband surgery on the 20th of November.  So I'm still in my mushy food phase.  But I have read some conflicting information and would like to make sure I'm going about this the right way before I go further in and do something wrong.

In the initial instruction binder that my surgeon gave me, it said that you need to eat 1/2 - 3/4 cup per meal, 3 times a day.  But in my Post-op package I received at my first follow up appt, I read that you are supposed to only eat 2 oz per each meal.  So a total of 3/4 cup per day.

A 2 oz meal just seems EXTREMELY small to me and I'm not sure how a human could actually live on so little food.

Which is the ideal amount of food to eat?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!

Different doctors say different things.  From what I have been told is that a meal for a bandster at a good restriction level is 6 to 8 oz fo food.

I am a week post op and I had about 6oz of soup for lunch and I am good.

Yeah, the 6 - 8 works for me too. completely satisfies, but when I read the 2 oz guideline, i was just shocked and didn't see ANY way that would work :)  Thanks for the response!!
