wait times and cost

I was looking to find out the wait times for lapband and how i can make sure or find out if this can be covered by ahc I had my gal bladder removed a year ago and i am finding impossible to lose weight ever scince. I never had a problem before. any body else experience this problem.

The wait for the initial consultation to see Drs. Davey and Birch in Edmonton (Royal Alexandra Hospital) is 1 - 1 1/2 years. Then another year on average after that until your surgery date. All costs associated with the Lap Band surgery (including fills) are 100% covered by Alberta Health Care! You must have a BMI of 40 or higher, or 35 with other obesity-related problems (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, sleep apnea, etc.). HTH!
