Hi! I had my lap band put in on Jan 12/07 and I am retaining so much fluid that I can hardly wear my shoes. Is anyone else having this problem? Kathy K

I too retained in my first couple of weeks then all of a sudden it was gone.
I had my surgery Sept/06 and I've lost 70lbs and feel great. Be patient everything goes back to normal with time. I had the bypass surgery.
