I interviewed 5 or 6 surgeons before deciding on mine..... and office staff was definitely something I factored into the decision.
The staff at one of the offices I visited seemed really rude for no reason.... and even though I liked the doctor.... the crappy staff was the reason I opted to go with someone else.
If I had been considering seeing the surgeon in the OP.... this thread would have been enough to steer me away.
Just sayin'.

Topic: Sort of a milestone....
I was just updating my tracking junk (I've been keeping spreadsheets of my BMI & weight loss... I'm weird).....
I've been totally down on myself because I've *only* lost 40lbs since my surgery 4 months ago, despite sticking to the diet VERY strictly.
But then I realized... I really only had about 100lbs to lose total.... I'm really short, so I fall into the "lightweight" category as far as WLS goes....
So 40lbs..... out of 100lbs total.... means that I have lost 40% of my excess weight in four months.
I still have a long way to go.... it feels like an uphill battle since I also have to factor in my PCOS and other hormonal issues that screw with my metabolism and make weight loss even more difficult despite the surgery.... but realizing that I'm 40% there..... totally just made my day.

Make no mistake, I will be contacting your surgeons tomorrow to let them know exactly how you are representing them on the biggest WLS board on the internet.
I have already copied the threads just so they can see your behaviors first hand.
BTW, it's very deceptive and misleading for you to have on your silly little website that you did not lose weight with a band considering that is all your doctors are able to do. Very misleading and unprofessional.

I'd have to agree with Joyce. I used to work for Mayo and they really are fantastic.

I very rarely even discuss my surgeon, typically if someone asks. I don't push my surgeon, I push research. Got a problem with that? Look at my blog and you can see how wrong you are.
Keep posting, you are chasing away people before they ever go to one of your silly "band" seminars. With all your name calling you are the one that looks childish. Grow up for goodness sakes and learn to behave yourself.
I'm not selling anything, why in the world should I give up my internet privacy? Perhaps you are now aware (or you are and that is why you deleted much of your profile info as you explained yesterday) but during the weight loss journey we tend to share a great deal of personal information. An idiot posts details unless they are selling something and cannot afford an ad.
Do not tell me to back off, you won't like the results. It isn't up to you to tell me what or where to post. I'm following OH rules, it is you that is not.
Seriously, keep posting. People need to see your real colors. I know I'll be book marking this thread to show anyone the least bit interested in going to your doctors. Actually, it's tempting to send this link to your doctors so they can see how you are representing them.

I'm nervous, but keeping a positive outlook. I go to my pre-op appointment tomorrow to learn and then start my pre-op diet. I hear it's not a liquid diet, probably just a calorie restriction and learning how to CHEW CHEW CHEW again.
Anyone with RNY that has any advice that you wish you had taken or didn't know prior to surgery?
I had a band for 18 months and finally revised to a sleeve. I too, had the surgically forced bullema. ;o) I absolutely ruined my teeth with all the vomiting.
Have you considered filing a complaint with the FDA for a device that caused you harm? Until they get enough complaints the band has false stats. We need to get the word out.

Are you crazy? Just because I am one of many that does not appreciate MD offices using a support board for free advertising does not make me in need of help. It makes you in need of buying a stupid ad.
I don't have to go anywhere. I live in AZ, I can post anywhere I please. If you don't like it, buy an ad. ;o)
